ADT offers five security system service plans to choose from: Basic ($28.99/month), Secure (45.99/month), Smart (49.99/month), Video ($56.99/month), and Complete ($59.99/month). Plans require a 36-month minimum contract. Additionally, in the event of early contract termination, ADT may require the client to pay 75% of the monthly charges due for the balance of the first 36-months. The company does offer a 6-month money-back guarantee and a limited warranty for their products (restrictions apply), but overall, ADT seeks a long-term commitment from the customer.

To help protect customers against the cost of unexpected service calls, ADT offers extended limited warranty protection, called their Quality Service Plan, or QSP. While ADT's electronic technology is designed to meet the highest standards, no manufactured equipment is 100% perfect. QSP adds additional coverage some customers might prefer.

In addition, ADT operates six monitoring centers. In the event that your assigned monitoring center goes offline, a security breach or call for help from your home will be automatically rerouted to the next available center.

The ADT Essentials plan for basic digital monitoring service has a limited warranty on parts and labor, something that other competitors do not offer. If you want additional protection, the Essentials Plus package includes 2-way voice monitoring. Like all plans, this one includes monitoring for police, fire, and medical emergencies. However, both plans require customers to have access to their own landline phone.

Customers who do not have landlines can opt for the ADT Secure plan. This plan includes monitoring for police, fire, and medical emergencies and add the peace of mind that comes from knowing that an intruder cannot cut your home’s landline. There is an ADT protection plan for all budgets and needs.

ADT Home Security systems are very user-friendly, and during installation, the technician will show you how to use the equipment. There is technical support available to answer any questions customers have about the equipment. ADT offers professional installation, several monthly plans with competitive rates, and allows users to choose between wireless and hardwired systems. Keep in mind, though, that customers must sign a three-year agreement for all ADT security monitoring plans.

I am so frustrated with ADT. I have had ADT for 30 years and recently put in new windows at my home. I called ADT to have then reconnect the system only to find out I had to buy a new system for almost $5,000. So I went ahead and bought the system and it was installed. However the contract price and the price I was charged didn't match up. I have called every day for about the last 10 days and nobody returns my call or can answer the questions I have about the pricing. I am so frustrated.

ADT is a extortionist. sent me to collections one week after I paid in full and then canceled my account. ADT extorted $25.13 when I called them up they said there was nothing they could do once it went to collections they told me to talk to the collection agency, they then told me I have to talk to ADT. I think ADT owns that collections agency cuz it has the worst rating on it internet. This is all because they bill you one month after you cancel your account for some reason they have the right to bill you 30 days after you cancel your account. that's like making an extra car payment once you've paid it off it's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. The Battery in our fire and carbon monoxide needed changed. tried to change them and it would not reset. I called ADT and they said you had to change the battery's and replace it quickly. We tried at least 15 times to put it back in place and it never reset. I feel you should be connected with a technician that would know what to do. They said maybe we needed a new one. They sent a technician at a cost of $59.00. He came out and in 2 seconds put it up correctly. There was a line that needed to line up for it to work. I was not advised of this. I was an ADT customer for over 40 years of combined service on 5 properties. I was a loyal customer. Unbeknownst to me, ADT charged me for 4 years of service on a house that I had moved from, amounting to over $2700. While they admitted that they had my money, they refused to repay me the $2000 they owed me. I talked to 18 different members of customer support and managers and spent over 7 hours on the phone to redress my loss. Yet they still send me come-ons to return to their service. This company is absolutely devoid of morals and fairness.

I got ADT to save $20/month from VIVID. DO NOT MAKE A MISTAKE I MADE. In my neighborhood and my car got robbed. I was asked by the police to see if I can provide a video camera. I couldn't find a SAVED video. I called ADT they said when they installed it they didn't have it on SAVED CAMERA SO THEY DIDN'T HAVE A VIDO TO PROVIDE ME FOR POLICE REPORT. They apologized. When I asked for a refund of 3 months that wasn't on the saved MOOD they said they will not refund me $59 but would give me $9 for "camera not saved". I AM STUCK WITH THEM FOR 36 MONTHS AND WILL FIGHT THIS BUT I DIDN'T WANT ANYONE TO TRUST THEM FOR YOUR FAMILY'S SAFETY.

I am currently a customer - have been trying to cancel the service for the past 45 minuets - been on hold most of that time. Have spoken to 4 people who then transfer me to "a representative who can help me with my request" only to have them give me the run around again. I asked for the representative's name - was told "Amber" but she said she was not allowed to give me last name. Asked to speak with a supervisor - that was 15 minuets ago. They make it almost impossible to cancel. I haven't used the system for over a year so want to cancel the service - have talked to 4 people now - on the phone for 45 minuets - still not canceled. I will never use or recommend this service again. The equipment is fine - the monitoring service is fine - there company policy on cancelation SUCKS!!!!

Sucks ! I feel I get cheated by ADT Sales and technician . I had an appointment with ADT on November 8 2021, the technician came with IPAD to push me to sign the contract when my 2 neighbors at my house , he does not let me read , he said I will have 30 days to read after signing the contract , if I do not like it , I will have enough time to call to cancel . he will not start installing the cameras if I do not sign the contract and he does not have time for me to read , because he has another appointment. and he said i have 2 cameras free and installation fee is free like sales people talked me on phone , then I choose believe him and signed it . I have recently had an issue with ADT concerning service, my keypad indicated a battery warning and I call ADT service. They advised me multiple times to proceed to my local Home Depot and purchase a battery and replaced it on my own, I stated that this was unacceptable and I made constant call backs to customer service. Days went on I made numerous phone calls to ADT an nothing was done…..finally I touched base with a sympathetic ear at ADT and I had a repair man at my premises he removed the keypad and observed the HUGE burnt lithium battery…he replaced only the battery and not the keypad……he had no idea what caused the burning and they refused to replace the keypad…… Their rating... I'm disappointed in ADT. I've been with them 8 years. I have no problem paying for service provide to me. However, I'm moving and they're charging me cancellation fees. $300.00 ESTIMATE I was intending on having them at my new place. I think charging people for services they are not receiving is too much. I've never liked contracts. I feel like its strong arming the customer. You get more with Honey. Just my opinion. THEY JUST LOST MY BUSINESS. WILL NOT BE BACK. ENJOY YOUR CANCELLATION FEE ...YOU'LL NEVER HAVE MY BUSINESS AGAIN...
