In exchange for a $75 administration fee, they also offer a pro-rated refund if the initial 30 days have expired.

Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement. The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract. After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

Issue with the A/C. They sent a technician Ardys heating and air here in Amarillo Texas. Ardys never put in the paper work. Had a second person come out. Only to tell me that select had denied the claim. The gave me the B.S. that I had to wait 30 days after the policy was active. I keep insisting that it had been 30 days and denied the claim every time. When I ask to talk to a supervisor I was put on hold for an hour. Then when I did the supervisor said he would cover it, was ok then. Only to get a call back on monday the claim had been denied again. Was on the phone told them Ellie had approved the claim. They insisted no they would not cover it, I am very disappointed with this company... Read More

I have the warranty past year after buying our house (in Massachusetts) We submitted claims 3 times, each time the company has a problem with proceeding this claim: 1. The professional provided not serve our area. 2. The professional provided not answer to any calls. 3. The claim is denied because the A/C is not maintained well, but it's our first year in the house and we really don't know how it maintains (it works ok when we buy). The same answer for our heating system we received from this warranty company. From my point, we wasted money on this warranty. Very not recommended.

My husband and I were retired and we are on a fixed income. That is the main reason we signed up with Select Home Warranty. To protect us from expensive repair costs if something in our house breaks down. Select is cheaper than those other companies and if I may add, the service request i have filed with them in the past year I've been with them were all successful. Thank you Select for taking good care of us elderly.

My platinum plan with Select has saved me 2 repair costs in 3 months that I have been with them. First was my ceiling fan and second my dishwasher. I could have paid more money to get those fixed or worse replaced if not for the coverage I have with them. I am glad that I signed up with them and so sure that I am going to be a loyal customer to Select.

Bruce was thorough and did everything to get my business, without being overbearing or pushy. That is a good and effective sales person. Now, if I need the repair services through Select Home Warranty, I hope my experiences are just as good and effective.

Always excellent service and response with helpful, really concerned people on the phone answering your questions to try to meet your needs. I have had AHS for over twelve years and they have never failed to impress me and always were fast in getting any items repaired to our satisfaction....sometimes even exceeding our expectations!

The worst company I ever dealt with. I paid money to have insurance when something breaks down and I am told they cannot get a tech for 3-4 weeks to look at my refrigerator. My option is to pay myself and wait 30 days for a refund. What is the point of the insurance then. And that's IF they decide its covered. I have had a different home warranty company and never had this issue. In addition A claim for a microwave was denied because when explain I mentioned the the device in the door and the device INSIDE the microwave were not connecting therefore it wont turn on. Because I mentioned the word "door" they cited 9.1.2 in the contract that states they do not cover doors. Its not the... Read More
