In exchange for a $75 administration fee, they also offer a pro-rated refund if the initial 30 days have expired.

Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement. The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract. After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

The entire enrollment process was straight forward. Fred did a good job, offered some additional discounts, but simply would not take no, after offering several years worth of coverage. Have not had to use the repair process yet so that is why I rate it a 4. Time will tell.

When I submitted a claim about my HVAC, the representative advised me that none of their contractors is available on the date that I am requesting for the service repair. She gave options, to wait for the next available date when a plumber will ba avail or if I want I can get a plumber myself and they'll just send a refund check. I was a bit afraid of the 2nd option since I had horrible experiences with refunds on my previous warranty company. But then I am also concerned about the leaks in my kitchen so I agreed on the 2nd option. I am a single mother and my biggest fear aside from losing someone, is to be in a situation that requires me to shell out money yet I have nothing to use. Specially when it comes to my home systems. All I want is a comfortable life for my kids without worrying where to get money for repairs and all. When I signed up with Select 2 years ago, I told the representative about this fear and when she told me that Select will give me that peace of mind without paying too much, I believed her. I've been with Select for a couple of years now and I have had service request in which all were resolved, with just me paying the $60 deductible.
