Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement. The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract. After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

I have SHW on multiple of my buildings and never filed a claim in 11 months. The first time I call for repairs, the technician came two days later and said he can fix the problem, but he will need prior authorization from SHW. Another 2 days later, I am still waiting for them to fix the problem. When I called SHW to find out when they would send the technician back to finish the job, they tell me that I they need pictures and records for 3 years. If this is their practice, it should be something they should warn customers about before taking their money. There are too many other warranty companies to choose from rather than pick Select Home Warranty. The ice machine appears to be malfunctioning and after making a claim we were told it is not covered by the warranty yet is one of the optional coverages we selected. They could have sent a technician to make an assessment but yet the refused to do so. What is the purpose of the warranty if Select Home Warranty does not stand behind the insurance. Buyer Beware!! Stay away from this company!

I paid $1050 for a 3-year contract of home warranty service on 5/29/18. On 7/27/18, I was promised $225 for the repair or replacement of my clothes dryer. That amount of money would neither repair or replace it, but I sent the receipt in any way by email. I have never received my money. On 8/13/18, I contacted their customer service and asked that my contract be canceled and the $1050 be refunded. They said they would give the refund but did not. After my Better Business Bureau complaint, they eventually paid $891.67 and ended the contract. This is theft! I am very happy with how Select treated me as a new customer. They started my claim a few days before my 30 days was met so that I could have a technician on the 30th day. That is really caring about a new customer!

i give a lot of credit to Select Warranty. My problem ballooned into a very large problem costing thousands of dollars and they paid for it all! My central heating and air unit completely broke down and they had to bring in three separate companies to try to fix it. It was not salvageable and they recommended replacement. The replacement took a week and was done better than the original!

Select was like a super hero for me. They gave me uncanny service by helping remove my old refridgerator and replacing it with a new one in one weeks time. Out of my pocket was just $50 for a service call fee.
