For the sake of education and peace-of-mind, this company provides a sample contract and quote calculator on their website. In exchange for a $75 administration fee, they also offer a pro-rated refund if the initial 30 days have expired.

Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement. The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract. After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

I have a house in the woods and the electric panel had a short. My husband called for service. Select was very friendly and entered our information for claim. We had someone come in 4 days. He fixed the problem and completed the job well.

Today was my first time making a claim and when the contractor came out he told me that my service fee was $75.00 and I told him no that it was $45.00 he showed me some paperwork saying $75.00 so I called Select and spoke with an agent and explain to him what was told to me when I first got with the company he told me to go ahead and pay him the $75 and he would check out the information that I gave him and I would be reimbursed,not even an hour later another agent from Select called his name was Jeremy Collins very kind man he worked with me gave me a service call free whenever I need another one and also gave me his direct number if I were to need anything else. This is my second claim and this one was much better than the first. The technician was on time and consulted me with all the repairs he would do and then implemented them. Excellent all around.

From start to finish my claim on my central heat went great. My first call with Select took 20 minutes outlining my claim. I got a second call back giving me an appointment. The appointment tech was on time and had all the parts ready and kept a clean work space. Very good warranty company.

I have had a few claims. One claim was for a dishwasher & that was covered. The garbage disposal I had to purchase a new one and recieved $75 towards the $100 purchase. I also had to pay out of pocket for $150 out of pocket for someone to install it. I bought a new washing machine and received $100 toward the $600 new machine.
