For the sake of education and peace-of-mind, this company provides a sample contract and quote calculator on their website. In exchange for a $75 administration fee, they also offer a pro-rated refund if the initial 30 days have expired.

Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement. The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract. After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

I usually never right reviews. I do believe something goes but stay strong and give chance. For 2017 and 2018, I was thinking I’m new customer, and they will improve and cover better nest. However, they always have different story about any claim. I bought SHW on 05/2017 for 3 years. Sale person was so good, made me buy for 3 years saying that they will cover all problem except cosmetic. Also, I can cancel my policy any time and will get refund., NO WORRIES. After talking to him and ensuring, they will provide all needed and necessary about repair, I paid for 3 year. 1ST claim went; they can’t cover because less than ninety days, I paid the difference from my pocket. after... Do not spend your money on this company (Select Home Warranty). I had my warranty for just under 2 years with them. I never filed a claim during this time. Select Home Warranty is incompetent. When I just recently filed a claim on my HVAC systems it was a miserable experience. Please DO NOT USE THIS warranty company. Any questions please contact me. Mason F.

I have been trying to get someone to come and look at my ac for a month now and I still can’t get them to send one one out there. All I ever get is excuses. Every time I ask to speak to a manager no one is ever available. I have no idea how they have a 9/10 rating on this site. Oh wait I do it says they are partners here that’s why. This company does nothing they say they will do. If I could leave negative stars I would.
