For the sake of education and peace-of-mind, this company provides a sample contract and quote calculator on their website. In exchange for a $75 administration fee, they also offer a pro-rated refund if the initial 30 days have expired.

Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement. The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract. After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

SHW is the biggest scam in home warranty, I would stay away from this outfit. They are cheap for a reason and they do a very good job in signing you up with and then they provide little or no service. They definitely give you a good run around if you can get hold of them and you will hear every excuse to not provide service. I signed up 6 rental homes in Arizona e.g. AC went out in one property and the contractor never turned up and I had to put the tenants in a hotel. They would not repair the AC because the replacement part was $150. Spoke with AVI - the senior person at SHW and he was also a smooth talker. Amanda called me on a holiday weekend almost immediately after I submitted my claim online. The contractor was assigned immediately, came when expected and was extremely professional, He replaced the thermometer and got my a/c working immediately! He had to do all of this in the middle of a powerful rainstorm! Thank you!

3 claims in total with select so i feel i can properly give them this 5 star rating. They are on time, fast and have a great network team for repairs. The cost of the warranty is a drop in the bucket compared to actual costs I would have to pay. Buyer approved

I completely renovated everything from top to bottom and got this warranty to keep it that way in nice and pristine condition! I don't make claims often but generally it happens from appliance issues which Select always does a mega great job fixing.
