For the sake of education and peace-of-mind, this company provides a sample contract and quote calculator on their website. In exchange for a $75 administration fee, they also offer a pro-rated refund if the initial 30 days have expired.

Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement. The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract. After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

I believe Select to be one of the top companies in the industry. I have made several claims and each time I am given a clear accurate time frame of work and repair service. Cost is reasonable and staff is very friendly.

The representatives are very polite and courteous in helping set up appointments. The problems have been the appliance companies don't call or answer their phones. So, far I've been waiting a couple of weeks for my stove to be fixed.

My dishwasher decided not to clean dishes. This would be my first claim with Select Home Warranty. I contacted them with my information and received a call asap! Quick, courteous and I received an email with the repair company in my area! Easy peesie!

I received a prompt and courteous return call to file my claim when the dishwasher went bad, and the rep walked me through the process & let me know a contractor will be contacting me soon. Select is definitely a good deal for the money and I highly recommend them.

My basement was in complete darkness. My circuit box had troubles am burnt out some cables. An electrician was send in and did a pleasing job in just under 2 hours. I recommend SHW.

The 1st technician they sent out got approval for the repair of my Air Conditioning outdoor unit, but failed to order the part and lied about the process for getting the part. They sent out a 2nd tech and then Select home warranty decided they would reimburse me for $150 for repair of the unit. But no one did any repairs and I am still without Air Conditioning, their warranty is useless. They require you to pay a company to come out and clean your unit and replace filters every year. You are not allowed to do your own maintenance on your own property or they won't pay.

Was a very nice claim experience with Select home warranty. Proper setup of the sink spot to make no extra messes. Very work detailed and looks pristine now that is complete.

I have a very modern kitchen with a large overfan. This fan decided not make a really cranking noise and spill slowly. The claim I made came in and removed the parts and replaed the fan that had a lot of thick oil on it.

IF 100 PEOPLE DO NOT PURCHASE SELECT HOME WARRANTY BECAUSE OF MY REVIEM I LOS $375, BUT SELECT HOME WARRANTY $37,500 SELECT HOME WARRANTY IS A DISHONEST COMPANY do yourself a favor save your money and stress knowing that you being fool by trusting this SCAM COMPANY. Stay away from SELECT HW they do not have technicians as they claim, also that few companies that accept SHW are dishonest like them, they only collect the service fee which it will not cover the part that is just for diagnostic (some can give you this for free) and then they tell you they will contact you to let you know what is your part and what SHW will cover.
