In exchange for a $75 administration fee, they also offer a pro-rated refund if the initial 30 days have expired.

Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement. The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract. After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

I am a savy searcher and I came up with Select in the past year and went ahead with a warranty program. The offering was worth it because they helped fix a roof leak in a weeks time from my first call. A valued product and service for my home.

So I have been dealing with Select warranty for 6 months and have created two successful claims. Both times my warranty was honored(better be!) and worked diligently to fix the problems they encountered. They are a great service company at a low price point.

Terrible company! Select Home warranty failed to meet its obligations on two contracts we had with them. On one they wasted a great deal of our time, never found a repair company for our dryer (even though we easily found one) and refused to refund our contract money. On the second one, they told us in writing they would reimburse us for money we spent, but many months later and after several emails, we still have not received payment. If I could give them zero stars, I would.

For only one and a half years old my dish washer was not functioning properly and would not clean properly. The unit was found defective because of the blade and I repair request was approved and done.

My microwave stopped working and would rotate without heat. Select helped me through the claim process and installed a replacement unit for me. It was installed very professionally.

I have been having a refrigerator problem for past 3 weeks. Unfortunately, I was covered under Select Home Warranty. So, I reached out to them to send in someone to take a look. After 4 follow up calls and multiple emails, someone was sent to my home to check out the issue. As per the sales person, the warranty company is supposed to respond within 24-48 hours. Once the repair technician reached home, he suggested that the fridge needs some parts to be replaced, and it needs an authorization from the warranty company. This is one of my favorite products, even though it isnt physical what is is the amount of money I save over the larger picture of several months and then when I have a break down they service the repairs at no cost to me.

New homeowners, do not purchase your home warranty from Select Home Warranty! We bought our house in December 2018, and our AC unit stopped working in June 2019. We provided proof from the previous owner that the AC unit was serviced in August 2018 and was working then, and proof from our home inspection reports that it was working when we purchased the house. We filed a claim, and the warranty company assigned a contractor, but then we got an email from them saying our problem was not covered, even BEFORE the contractor came out to identify the problem!
