In exchange for a $75 administration fee, they also offer a pro-rated refund if the initial 30 days have expired.

Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement. The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract. After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

Some of my friends who visited complained and noticed one of my vents was not pushing out air. I am glad they noticed it cause I did not. Was not at all a problem to get out a heating, cooling and electric specialist and he got it functioning in just a couple hours.

The staff was sweet on the phone and very friendly. They setup a appointment for repair on my ice maker. They tracked down the parts of my fridge and then installed everything, timely and well managed.

Our HVAC system stop blow cool air on Friday(7/5/19). We waited until Monday morning(7/8) to begin the claims process thru Select Home Warranty. SHW sent out a technician on the afternoon of (7/10/19) which diagnosed the problem as the "internal fan motor' needed to be replaced. At this point, we believed our problem would be solved by the weekend. Wrong After waiting for a call to come back out and replace the faulty fan motor, we called the technician back on Wednesday(7/17/19) and was told that SHW was ordering the motor. We then called SHW, but was then told that they were waiting for the technician to send their diagnosis of the problem, then they would go thru the approval... Read More

I did not have any problems calling and making a claim. They actually were quite patient and after a week decided to just send me a check for $200 rather than have my dish washer fixed. It was well worth it and I bought a new one for $299.

This is the worst home warranty company that has ever existed. On June 9, 2019 we placed a claim to have our refrigerator repaired. It is now July 18, 2019! I have spoken with their "call center", who claim to be in New Jersey. I honestly doubt it! I do not think they understand the English language well. Understand that I have been on the phone with these customer service reps many many times. One customer service representative told my technician that I hired my own technician. I ABSOLUTELY NEVER SAID THAT! I was waiting on the technician and called the technician. The technician told me about the phone call. He also said that he has problems with Select Home Warranty. Select was very kind and friendly in helping me make and go through my service call on my air system. I had a smooth easy process that took me 10 days. Speed was good and service was great making this a great situation.

Our claim has been complete now for a week and still the roof leak is no problem with the rain. Select warranty is a reputable company and if ever something else breaks will update how it went.

Still working with Select. This is the start of my third year and the first two have been all positive. This is my final year of my contract with them. If I get a good deal I will go for another 4 years with them.

Lots of my claims were handled in the past two years from my oven running cold to my garbage disposal breaking. Each and every time select protected me with out standing service and support.
