For the sake of education and peace-of-mind, this company provides a sample contract and quote calculator on their website. In exchange for a $75 administration fee, they also offer a pro-rated refund if the initial 30 days have expired.

Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement. The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract. After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

Their Customer Service department is always easy to get a hold of and helps resolves questions on the phone! This is helpful to talk to someone, with very little hold time. Even if I have to wait 30-60 seconds while they take action, they always apologize for the wait.

Select hired Galaxy pools to inspect my pool heater. Although I completed Galaxy’s request for service they never contacted me. I Advised Select and they pulled my request from Galaxy and are reassigning my inspection. Galaxy was doing everything to take care of my issue.

I signed up with Select home warranty in March of 2019 and was at first very impressed with customer service. I had a service call on my furnace that went smoothly. HOWEVER, my 26 year old air conditioner went out at the beginning of July 2019. Being in my first year of home ownership, I knew I had older AC units, furnace, and other major appliances, so..logically this is the very reason I signed up with Select. When I called, I was told it would be over a week before a service rep would be out to only DIAGNOSE the problem. I only had to pay for the service call fee and they took care of every detail on my replacement microwave oven. The new one is about equal in quality and for $45 it is worth having a new one, thanks!

AC went out in August so all contractors were booked out. Select Home allowed me to find a contractor out of network and gave approval for the repairs over the phone.

This call was helpful to correct a call I made July 29 about a billing problem. Everything that was discussed was supposedly solved. Nothing!!! Was done. This guy today was a lot more professional if the problem is solved is yet to see. But he seemed to care about my problem which was on their end not mine. Billed wrong.

The service light came on and wouldnt go off on my dish washer. A claim service call was issued and it turned out to be that the electric in the door malfunctioned. It was covered in the repair to install a new door.
