ADT is located in Boca Raton, Florida. For this review, we will be focusing exclusively on ADT's professionally installed residential home security systems.

!!!Alert!!! ADT Service Declining, no accountability, no safety with ADT – CANCELLING ADT Service Incident: 1. Fire alarm went off; ADT touch screen was beeping showing Fire. 2. Window tampering alarm went off multiple times in ADT system. ADT Service Customers pays for: 1. Safety call in cell phone. 2. If customer does not respond phone call, ADT to dispatch Fire Truck and Ambulance Reality: 1. No safety call. 2 No fire truck and ambulance dispatch Request call to ADT: To check why ADT did not respond when I had incidents at home. Is ADT system working? This is a terrible company to try to cancel with. My experience was absolutely awful. I canceled in November, two months prior to end of cantract, and learned today that they had still taken a payment directlly from my bank account even after I had taken that form of payment out of the online payment system. First, be prepared to be on hold for quite a while. Be prepared for multiple transfers and a big hassle. Next, the staff who I got was AWFUL. She wouldn't listen to me and continued to give me an extended sales pitch and refused to let me cut in to tell her I already knew all that. It is impossible to cancel your ADT service. I have tried now for three months and I continue to get the run around and sent to different departments. I am told that the service will be discontinued and my credit card gets charged each month. When quested, I am told that it take one billing cycle to cancel the service. That is bunk!! I am told I don't have an account and that they are not billing me, and every month I get a bill -and my cancellation date changes to the current month so that get another billing cycle.
The company is totally unethical. Buyer beware.

I accidentally double clicked a payment into my ADT account. The technician I spoke with on the phone reassured me that the $300 plus over payment would be re-deposited into my checking account. They never did until four weeks later when the next month’s payment was due, then they took that payment out and sent me the balance. In the meantime, my mistake cost me overdraft fees on my checking account because they would not return my money. When I called repeatedly and complain to several people about it, I was offered a better deal of $30 a month Now I’ve had them for over 10 years. Even with the drop in price to keep me on as a customer I’m still contemplating getting rid of them.... Read More

The employees are oh so pleasant & helpful in selling you the 36 month contract. The support employees manning the customer service lines are nice enough. Each time I call there is a minimum 40 minute wait time. Every. Single. Time. My issue is my doorbell camera will not provide live feed, it only records clips upon door bell rings or action motivated incidents. I have repeatedly followed the troubleshooting guide on my own & with a service advisor & still no connection. I was advised to uninstall the app & reinstall it once the advisor ran out of solutions. This did not help. The camera connection to my home network & the door panel is fine. I just need live feed from the doorbell... Read More

Having been a long term customer for well over a decade, I decided to upgrade my system to what I was told would be the best ADT has to offer. I learned the hard way after signing up and making my 1st payment, I got defective cameras that took at least a month to get it replaced after numerous phone calls and chasing ADT and on top of that they don’t function as they should! In fact, was told by the installer And I quote “ I shouldn’t have been sold those cameras, they are inferior products and they DO NOT and cannot integrate them with my mobile to get ALERTS & NOTICES should anything happen! Adt is not the best monitoring company out there. In the beginning to get your money, they are! They sell you on their products especially when it's time for an upgrade! They don't live up to their motto. Their motto is profits over customer satisfaction. They tell you the contract is for 3 years and then when they send you a docu sign that reads 5 years, that's misrepresentation and false advertising!! I had my alarm go off last month for about 7 minutes and it took me a while to get to disarm it. In 2021 my wife and I had ADT Installed and our relationship with this company did NOT start well. We were also given a free outdoor camera but the technician couldn't install it since our garage floor was just Epoxied. Rather than tell us the truth, which was that it HAD TO be installed ON THAT APPOINTMENT or we would LOSE IT, he left with the camera WITHOUT saying a word. We called back to schedule a time for them to install "our free outdoor camera" and didn't find out until then that we no longer had a camera to install. ADT the same national company that we know is a racist company that discriminate agains low income and underserve communities. In 2019 we paid over $20,000.00 to ADT for a fire alarm system, three years later our fire alarm system's paperwork with the NY Fire Department is not filed yet.
We are a non for profit organization that offers FREE vocational training to at risk youths and low income people. We are located in East Harlem, NY.
We know for sure that ADT has installed 100s of fire alarm system in 2020, 2021 and 2022. We bet you that all those system ADT installed are fully in compliance, because they are not in low income or underserve communities.

These jokers have been charging me for my new and old address service for the past year. I have called them numerous times and they keep telling me they are taking my old service off but every month, there it is again. When you have any issue be ready to spend HOURS on the phone with various people trying to get it resolved. I have spent an hour and a half today trying to get in touch with someone to finally fix this, spoke to 3 different representatives, and I have been hung up on twice and been on hold for over an hour.
