You can also opt for environmental protection, such as carbon monoxide, flood, temperature change and smoke sensors, as well as a panic button and an emergency alert button. New for 2022, ADT security systems feature the Google Nest doorbell. The highly-rated device features HD video and two-way audio. How much does ADT Home Security cost?

ADT offers five security system service plans to choose from: Basic ($28.99/month), Secure (45.99/month), Smart (49.99/month), Video ($56.99/month), and Complete ($59.99/month). Plans require a 36-month minimum contract. Additionally, in the event of early contract termination, ADT may require the client to pay 75% of the monthly charges due for the balance of the first 36-months. The company does offer a 6-month money-back guarantee and a limited warranty for their products (restrictions apply), but overall, ADT seeks a long-term commitment from the customer.

To help protect customers against the cost of unexpected service calls, ADT offers extended limited warranty protection, called their Quality Service Plan, or QSP. While ADT's electronic technology is designed to meet the highest standards, no manufactured equipment is 100% perfect. QSP adds additional coverage some customers might prefer.

ADT has invested in upgrading to the latest wireless technology to help protect your home and keep the installation process as streamlined as possible. Like many newer systems, ADT wireless security systems rely on radio waves to connect your home’s cameras and sensors to the control panel.

In addition, ADT operates six monitoring centers. In the event that your assigned monitoring center goes offline, a security breach or call for help from your home will be automatically rerouted to the next available center.

The ADT Essentials plan for basic digital monitoring service has a limited warranty on parts and labor, something that other competitors do not offer. If you want additional protection, the Essentials Plus package includes 2-way voice monitoring. Like all plans, this one includes monitoring for police, fire, and medical emergencies. However, both plans require customers to have access to their own landline phone.

Customers who do not have landlines can opt for the ADT Secure plan. This plan includes monitoring for police, fire, and medical emergencies and add the peace of mind that comes from knowing that an intruder cannot cut your home’s landline. There is an ADT protection plan for all budgets and needs.

ADT Home Security systems are very user-friendly, and during installation, the technician will show you how to use the equipment. There is technical support available to answer any questions customers have about the equipment. ADT offers professional installation, several monthly plans with competitive rates, and allows users to choose between wireless and hardwired systems. Keep in mind, though, that customers must sign a three-year agreement for all ADT security monitoring plans.

Cancelled after 12 years with. Customer service and system support have become horrible and frustrating.. "Reps" are no longer allowed to access and make changes on your system at your request. Such as disabling a sensor generating false alarms in your absence. We're told we have to be at the panel ourselves or use a phone app. 1000 miles away from the panel and a non working phone app we pleaded with support to disable the zone but they would not. We spoke we 15+ "reps" over 3 days, several where English is there second language it seemed, before deciding to cancel. Have had this system for 3 years, 2 1/2 of which I did not use and actually removed the system from the house after having multiple alarms go off with no follow up phone calls. They finally called me one day, which took 6 hours to call me and my 12 yr old son was in the house, when they called I told them to yes dispatch the police BUT to tell the dispatcher that a 12 yr old boy was in the house. Well guess what they DIDN'T do!! Luckily the cops got my son out of the house safely, but were so mad that they called me and screamed at me for 10 minutes because they almost shot my son - they had no idea he was in the house and I should have notified ADT that he was in the house. Have had the system for one year and I would be using something else but instead of an agreement, it is a contract, thanks for lying Jake the ADT Sales Rep. Poor Service is an understatement. Besides the con to get me into a three year contract (not the 1 year agreement promoted) the equipment is junk. The front camera and google nest doorbell camera are off line, cannot communicate, not responding, cannot connect to wifi..... the upstairs glass break sensor sounds off every time we close a door, normally, in the hallway. DO NOT USE ADT COMPANY! They promise the best services at the most competitive rates but in reality they cheat on you. I have had a plan with them since February, 2023 (6 months by now). I kept calling them innumerable times. All you can hear is a robot repeating the same useless information. They ask you to hit a key in order to talk to a representative. You hit it but the robot still goes on with its information. You have to try again until you are put through the service you need. Their representatives speak broken English and although they thank you a hundred times and apologize, in the end they do not solve your request. After being a customer with ADT for 22 years, I can no longer recommend them. Their customer service over the past 30 hours has been horrible. My alarm system has been randomly going off, full blown screeching through the night , and they are not able to make it stop. They had me dismantle the system, which did not resolve the issue, put in a work order that was incorrect so the tech canceled the job, and have now placed me on "priority" for service which is 6 days from now. Meanwhile, I have no security system for the next 6 days. A service I have paid them for and they cannot deliver to me. ADT was fine....until I needed it. A year ago I had a house fire. Alarms going off everywhere, but I didn't receive any contact at all from ADT. Thankfully I was home. The walls and roof made it but the entire house had to be gutted and was down to the studs. I called ADT they said that fire monitoring wasn't included. (checked the contract and it IS included). Then I asked that since I had no house to monitor and even the equipment was inoperable, if they could pause my account. They said no. Then I said cancel the service and they wanted $800 to cancel because it's still under contract. So I said forget that and have been paying the regular 'monitoring' fee of $53 a month for 8... Totally messed up my order!!! Been on the phone with them to cancel and have been on the phone with ADT for a total 8 1/2 hrs!!!! Mostly on hold!!!! 8 1/2 hrs!!!! Can you do that?? I first called at 10:00 this morning and it is 6:30 now. They just keep transferring me. They have no idea how to run a company!!! If they can't get an order right or even allow me to speak with anyone in the correct department, then how can they protect my home??? I'm still being transferred and it's now 7:00 pm!! This review is for ADT Security Blue. Run away as fast as you can would be my advice. I called ADT after looking up the reviews, checking with the better business, etc. I signed up with the service not realizing that I was signing up with ADT Blue and it was a different self service within their company and that I had been signed up for it. I received a box of equipment to install just before Christmas not knowing I had a month to install it myself or be subjected to a $2000 fee that must be paid before I could cancel the contract. Had a system in the home I had purchased. Was told to put upgraded system in would be $1100. This is way higher than competitors. Not only that, but the customer service is also pushy and gets mad when you do not give them an answer. Not impressed.
