My Dryer was not working and I called up selecthome. They called back to check for certain details which I willingly provided. I was surprised to see how quickly the technician was able to solve the problem and my dryer was fit and fine. The home warranty has thus taught us the importance of proper communication.
I had spent quite a sum on my leaking bathtub before someone guided me to this home warranty company. Armed with the contract, I raised a claim when the bathtub leaked again. The plumber, who came in, spent about half an hour to diagnose what was repeatedly causing the leakage. I must acknowledge his technical skill because after his repair the bathtub has not leaked again.
This is a rotten company that has no intention in reimbursing their customers. Be aware that they require 3 years of maintenance records on your home appliances which is virtually impossible if you have recently purchased your home. They also have the worse contractors who will not call you back for several days. I had an AC stop working in 100 degree heat and it took them 2 days to even call to set up a time. Terrible company. Snakes!
The platinum plan allows you to hire your own technician with intimation to them. You are however required to pay him upfront on the completion of the job to your satisfaction. This does pinch a bit but you get reimbursed in a short period. Sometimes I do prefer to hire my own experts.
When my furnace broke down in the middle of the night, I lodged a claim immediately. While I was thinking about what to do next in the morning, I was surprised to find a technician at my front door. This guy was quick and analytical. My furnace was running again in the next two hours. I would rate the company- 5 stars
I am impressed with the follow up system of this home warranty company. They first ensured that the service request was being dealt with in a timely fashion. Next they checked back that I was satisfied with the repair work. Great!
Select cleared the acid test when their technician was able to arrange the parts and repair my dishwasher and I did not pay a penny for it. My switch from another home service company has been fruitful.
I am happy with select home service. They helped me in getting my pump replaced and making my pool operational. I do not write reviews but I am expressing my gratitude.
Honestly speaking I was never in favor of taking a home warranty. It was only when I saw my friends plight over the air conditioning failure did I realize my folly. I now recommend this service to my friends.
Except for the delay in answering my calls, my experience with Select home warranty has been good. My sump pump and geyser have given problems in the recent past but were well taken care off by the deputed technicians.
