For the sake of education and peace-of-mind, this company provides a sample contract and quote calculator on their website. In exchange for a $75 administration fee, they also offer a pro-rated refund if the initial 30 days have expired.

Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement. The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract. After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

This is a terrible company. See BBB complaints. I have had a broken item in my home for 2 weeks and still have no resolution.

Without a doubt select is best in service! I discussed a possible replacement freezer and they agreed with me! I waited 45 days and received a $125 check. It is nice to have a smooth transaction and now I can make the replacement on my own.

Nice people to deal with once you actual make a real claim. I had them setup an operator to fix my refridge and was given a very comfortable experience. I like my select warranty purchase.

I have this and we have just tried to file our first claim which is very small, a garage door, and we keep getting a run around. Every time they say it's prioritized no one gets back to us. My husband was on hold for an hour yesterday. I'd hate to see what happens when a major claim like heating is the problem.

The claim process has been very simple. I am very satisfied with the response time to my claim so far. I am still waiting for Select Home Warranty to send me the name of a technician to come and fix the problem so I didn't give 5 stars. If everything goes as well as the initial contact for warranty, I would change this to 5 stars.

Claim was denied without an inspection performed. There was no inspection performed to determine the cause of damage to my pool equipment. The representative on the phone kept telling me that my claim was denied and there was nothing I could do about it. She also stated that I could hire a technician to diagnose the system and send in his report, but that it would not be covered since I have already been denied. I paid extra for pool coverage and I can't even get a technician to perform an inspection to see if I have a covered loss.

I contacted Select Home Warranty online and received an immediate call back. The sales rep was polite and thorough in providing information about plans but let me choose what I was interested in. I received a good plan with an excellent price.
