Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement. The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract. After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

Right before the winter came in we had a heat wave and my Central air unit went out. It was a pretty annoying time to happen. I called claims and was given a time window that impressed me. 12 hours and a technician would be given to me. It was promised and delivered and now I finally got a chance to write in about my pleasurable experience.

Classy service. Certified product specialist and Select even gave me a call back while technician was in the house explaining what he was doing and what was covered by my warranty with different options available.

No customer service whatsoever. . Tried calling their billing dept. and no one with authority will talk to you. I cancelled a plan after having it for 2 months. They have so many exclusions that they denied service on a claim. They are withholding over $120 for 2 months without any claim servicing. I am now waiting over 35 days for my reimbursement check which they continue to say has been sent out yet not received. Quick to take my money on my credit card however,they will not credit your account back. Said must send a refund check. Very bad experience and very frustrated because of not being able to communicate with a person to resolve issue. Do not recommend this... Read More

Really poor customer service / no service at all, on one claim, after purchasing two policies. After deciding I couldn't trust this company to do what they said they would do, I decided to cancel both policies. The refund they sent me was nearly $600 less than it should have been. That amount included the $75 per policy cancellation fee, even though I asked them not to take it, and my reason for cancellation was justified.

SHW, where to start? Been a long time client. I started back in may 2012 when my central air unit broke down. I decided after forking over $2000 in repairs. I needed to find a service that would help cover the costs if a major repair would come up again. Over those past several years I had one major roof leak caused by hurricane type winds. Those claims I made on the roof were handled proficiently and I received a company that was licensed and insured. I have also had a few appliances repaired such as what happens to most people I would imagine over time, refrigerator problems and was happy with each outcome.

Our experience with Select Home has kept me satisfied and solidified my confidence in the platinum and care 5 year warranty ordered. With my broken fridge I actually got a complete free replacement unit of equal value to my old one! Very ecstatic.

Anytime I have a house problem I call my Select technician. She always advises me of the problem and how to fix it and if it's a basic issue I just didn't understand or something where a repair person needs to come out. This extra effort makes my limited knowledge allow me to learn and to not have a serious issue.

So my refrigerator was frosting snow all over and I wasn't sure how to get rid of it. The Select Home Warranty I ordered was called for advice and they told me it was a defect and it is covered by my plan. I did not understand this was a major problem and they were honest and brought out a company to make it work again. This is honesty at it's best.

Probably one of the better warranty companies. I have dealt with one another who kept raising prices on me and wouldn't honor every repair request. Select and me have a good relationship, I pay my bill, they pay my repair costs. Simple and easy the way I like.

Best service I had in a long time from a company. SHW staff was kind and friendly. The contractor was on time and diagnostics were spot on before I even had to explain what I have seen. Work was completed in 2 hours and everything was nice and clean. Renewal, yes please!
